Calculating the reinforcement (reo) in a concrete beam can be tricky. Our calculator helps you figure out the man hours needed for installing the reo in your beams, ensuring your structure is strong and safe.

How to use the Reinforcing Steel in Concrete Beam Calculator

  1. Enter your data in the white boxes provided.
    • Beam Dimensions: Input the total length, width and depth of the beam in metres.
    • Stirrups: Enter the spacing between stirrups (e.g., 300 mm centres) and the number per set (e.g., 3).
    • Links and Starters: Enter the spacing between starters (e.g., 250 mm centers) and the number of rows (e.g., 2).
    • Reinforcement in Beam:
      • Number of Bars: Enter the number of bars in each position.
      • Bar Size: Choose the diameter of the bars (e.g., 20 mm dia).
